A perspective on Android 1.0

Finally Android hatched out into the hands of the famous, of which IMAndroid is unfortunately not. So, we base our views and judgements by reading other prominent websites.

I’ve written before on why buy Android, Lets see how much of that is true and add anything new to it:

Here, we are going to focus only on the operating system and not the hardware device. G1 is all about Google’s Android platform and less about hardware or HTC, if it were, we probably would have a much better ergonomics!

Gmail free on T-Mobile Android?

On the eve of T-Mobile’s Android G1 device launch, rumors flying around in very quick succession. This time a blog at CNN reports that T-Mobile is considering plans to allow free Email access which is presumed to be GMail without any dataplan. However this wouldnt be a walk in the park as quoted below

T-Mobile could undercut its own data revenue stream from BlackBerry subscribers if users trade in their Curves and Pearls for the Android phone. But T-Mobile, the No.4 wireless shop, needs an attention-getting strategy like free e-mail to help set itself apart from bigger players like AT&T (T), Verizon (VZ) and Sprint (S)
